Chapter Twenty Six

Shadow

Four days had passed since they arrived back at the compound. Tiffany was doing well. The wounds on her wrists and ankles were healing nicely, and the bruising was fading in her neck. She had some nightmares, but Shadow was always there to sooth her, and hold her tight. Just his presence seemed to calm her.

Shadow still had bruising in his eye, but his rib was feeling a bit better. It would still be awhile before he was one hundred percent, but he was on the mend. Tiffany had visited the girl’s a lot, and she seemed excited about the idea of them having a cabin of their own. As soon as they finished this shit, he would get started on it.

Things had been pretty quiet, but today The Outlaws had starting riding past the clubhouse in two’s. They weren’t sticking to a schedule or a certain time, but occasionally, two bikes would ride past. It looked like they were scoping the compound. Tripp and Darren had stopped them, but without weapons visible or a probable cause, the detectives couldn’t hold them.

Preacher was pissed, and finally he called church to figure out what to do. Most of the brothers attended, except for Doc and Snake, who stayed at the cabin with the girls. And, Sniper and Raid, who kept watch on the roof. The gate was unmanned, but they locked it tight, and the brothers could see it from the roof. One call, was all it would take to bring out the army of bikers inside.

“How many Outlaws do you figure there are,” Preacher immediately asked Shadow.

“Hammer told me the club count was thirty seven,” Shadow told him.

“How many have you and the rest of the brothers taken out,” he questioned.

“I took out seven at the compound,” Shadow told him.

“We got six out of eight when they came at the rental,” Dragon said. “The other two took off.”

“And the dynamite took out another six at the roadblock,” Dagger stated proudly.

“So that’s nineteen dead, and eighteen fuckers left,” he snarled. “That’s still a lot of fire power.”

“What if we take out the next two that ride past,” Steele added. “They probably won’t send more when they don’t return, but at least that’s another two of the fuckers down.”

“Nah,” Navaho said. “We get Sniper to shoot them, but not to kill them. We need to question them. Find out where the fuck Bull is, and what’s planned.” The brothers all nodded in agreement.

“I think that’s a plan then,” Preacher announced. “I want about eight brothers on the gate. After Sniper makes the shot I’ll need one brother to open the gate, and another to stand guard,” he instructed. “Then I need two brothers on each Outlaw, to drag the fuckers to the shed. The last two will get rid of the bikes,” he ordered.

“I’ll call Tripp, and let him know the plan, I want him and Darren clear of here. We also may need a cleanup crew on the road, if the bikes go down hard,” he added.
